About Corvus

Applied sciences for the built environment.

Corvus was built by people who spent years on construction sites watching projects get delayed, damaged, or endangered because nobody knew what was inside the structure. We decided to fix that.

What we do

Corvus delivers six specialist applied-science services to the UK construction industry: GPR concrete scanning, ferro scanning, NDT concrete testing, LiDAR scanning, drone surveys, and large-scale GPR. We do these things and only these things, and we deliver them to a standard that lets engineers, architects, and contractors act on the result without second-guessing it.

Why we exist

Construction has a data problem. Drawings go missing. Records lag behind the as-built. Decisions get made on assumptions that an hour with the right kit could have replaced with measured fact. The cost of that gap is everywhere — struck cables, damaged tendons, redesigned foundations, programmes blown up by surprises that should have been known about on day one.

Corvus exists to close that gap. We are the team you call before the surprise. We bring measured, accountable data to questions that would otherwise be answered by guesswork.

Founded by Terry and Laura

Terry and Laura founded Corvus after years on UK construction sites. Between them they have seen the costliest version of every avoidable mistake: cores through tendons, drills through services, structural decisions taken on incomplete information. Corvus is the company they wanted to be able to call.

How we work

  • One accountable team. One accountable team manages the job from quote to deliverable. Where specialist laboratory partners are required for testing, they are controlled and clearly identified.
  • Calibrated, defensible kit. Equipment field-checked before use, with manufacturer calibration records held on file.
  • Reports built for engineers. Plain English, depth-accurate, CAD-ready. Signed off by the surveyor who did the work.
  • Same-day response. Quote within working hours. On-site within days.

The Corvus mark

The Corvus mark is a corvid — sharp eye, careful, methodical. The bird that notices everything. We chose it because it tells you what we do without us having to say it. We provide factual data to inform the next decision.
